Keep Going

February is winding down and right about this time is when the gyms begin to dwindling down.
Day planners have more blank pages.
Refrigerators have less produce and pantries have more sweets.
Little by little many people who were brave and bold enough to make this year finally be THE year to shift into that new self, feel the pains, pulls & pressures of committing to a year long goal.
I know what it’s like to have visions of grandeur only to have something push you down and break your, um, stride…
If you are soaring along perfectly fine, ducks in a row and hitting your goals with ease, may I say, bravo and CHEERS to you! It is a joy to celebrate you and your tenacity for getting it done.
If you are someone that has been tryna get it done, but some nonsense of another keeps hindering you, may I offer a suggestion, followed up by prayer? If your answer is no, I understand. Blessings to you, dear friend.
If you are willing to take a piece of advice as well as have someone pray over you, read on.
Advice: Take a step back and evaluate where you are in the process. Have you truly fallen behind, or is the progress a bit slow going? If you’ve been wiped out by an unforeseen event, don’t shelve your goal, dream and vision. Simply give yourself space to heal, or whatever is needed currently, and continue to move in the direction, no matter how teeny those steps are. When I broke my arm, I had just started Peloton two months before. Instead of riding the bike I chose to do a stretch class. Well, what I could with the one arm and all. Thank God for adaptive classes!
Oftentimes when we set out to accomplish literally anything there’s obstacles, roadblocks and straight up walls thrown in our path. The temptation is to assume it’s not part of the plan, or become consumed with distractions and the “must get dones”.
Pausing for a bit, thinking on next steps, & taking many deep breaths while assessing the situation is critical for achieving all that you set out to do.

So Father for those sweet ones reading this who feel let down again, by themselves, by life, by You… God I bless them with the ability to see clearly their future. The future You have already been to and have given them the blueprint on the path in which to walk.
Lord, I come against discouragement and fear in their souls, the things that are whispering in their ear, “this time it won’t be different”, and I speak over that noise and nonsense and declare, “YES IT WILL! This is THE timing of our God!”
Would You, Father, renew their hope and joy for the future? Would You open their eyes in the spirit right now to see all the details of what’s coming at them AND give them a strategy to move through, around or over the obstacle?
Abba, thank you for this precious friend reading. It is a joy and privilege to pray and bless each one.
God be praised today.
So be it. Amen.
