What Coaching Looks Like

 

Most people haven’t had a life coaching session, or even have ever heard of such a thing. It’s helpful to have something in print to get an idea of what a session with me, Jen Weir, looks like so that anyone interested in a session isn’t walking in completely blind. 

  •  Emailed questionnaire 

I email each potential client an unconventional questionnaire to fill out before our initial phone consultation. It’s called unconventional because in it I ask fairly non typical questions about the client. Rest assured the questions asked are much more relevant than a typical Coaching question such as, “and so when do you want to complete this goal by?” 

  • Voicemail, or voice text sent

In my coaching, I use an Inner Voice scan to assist people in dealing with their emotions in the most non invasive way. A client sends me their 20 second voice recording and I run it through software which reads the frequency and tones of their voice, noting the highs and lows, which tell much more about their emotional and physical health that any questionnaire ever could. The scan produces a report explaining the top four emotions most needing tending to as well as some areas in the body that the emotions are possibly taking a toll on. It will also produce four customized audios files for the client to listen to, twice a day,  which are gorgeous music imbedded with frequencies designed to vibrate out negative emotions. 

 

  • Phone Call

After I receive the questionnaire back via email, we will set up a one hour phone call. We can do Zoom if that is a preference though, at first meeting I find a phone call much less intrusive than staring at a virtual stranger for one hour. In a world where we communicate behind a screen, a phone call usually suits a new client much better. In this call we will go over the answers to the questions, as well as explaining the results and the meaning of the Inner Voice scan. 

 

  • Schedule a four week course of action 

This is specific to each individual client, but typically looks like a time set up to send the next voice recording, (done weekly) as well as steps for client to take on their own to progress them forward in the direction of the desired end result. Ie- if it is a weight reduction goal, the action might be ‘decided favorite activity that helps burn calories’, or ‘choose a gym to take a tour of’. Notice there is not a mention of ‘join gym and go 5x before next meeting’, or ‘remove all junk food out of the pantry’. The action steps are slow, bite size pieces of the desired result. 

 

A coaching series is a cycle of 8 sessions, set over 8 weeks. Each week we meet via a phone call or Zoom, as well as repeating the Inner Voice Scan. Once you have completed the first series, the choice is yours to jump into another series for a leveled up experienced or hop into one of our group coaching sessions. Or both! 

My personal approach to life coaching is helping my clients establish healthy habits tailored to their needs, lifestyles, personality, and ability in order for them to achieve the most successful outcome.
